GIS Assistant
Digitizes and performs data entry and manipulation to create, maintain and update maps, plots, graphic simulation and manuscript data for use by various agencies, Preliminary data and final produces are checked to ensure quality control of all data entering the system; maintains accurate records and documentation of work.
Duties:
- Move tools, equipment and other materials to and from work areas
- Assist in land surveying activities, such as holding or moving stakes and rods, clearing brush and debris from line of survey and transporting surveying tools to work area
- Operator equipment to perpare images, date and graphical reports, maps or charts
- Inspect quality of recorded iamges, to determine accuracy of data

- Related experience or training with modern survey equipment
- Ability to perform physical work outdoors in all weather conditions

Education:

A high school diploma is required
Education Requirements :
- Years of experience in the construction industry may be required
- Certification in Ontario is voluntary but is still recommended
